Privacy Policy

DogsMeetsBaby ("we") runs this website to publish product reviews for families with dogs and babies. We collect as little data as possible. This page explains exactly what is and isn't collected, in plain English.

What we collect

• First-party traffic measurement — page paths, referring domains, country, campaign labels, and interactions with product links. We temporarily process IP address and browser type to generate a secret-salted identifier that changes daily and to limit abusive requests. Our analytics database does not store the original IP address or browser string. A random page identifier lasts only for that page load; we do not use persistent visitor cookies or track you across websites. Historical measurement records are retained to compare trends and investigate errors.
• Newsletter email addresses — only if you subscribe. Used solely to send the newsletter; never sold or shared. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing deletes your address.
• Standard server logs — our hosting provider records basic technical data (IP address, browser type, pages requested) to operate and secure the service, retained briefly per their policy.

What we don't do

• No visitor tracking cookies set by this site. The private administrator dashboard uses an eight-hour security session cookie after login.
• No sale of personal data, to anyone, ever.
• Fonts and images are served from our own domain — page views are not reported to third-party CDNs.

Affiliate links

Articles contain affiliate links (see our disclosure). When you click one, you leave for the retailer's site — for example Amazon — and that retailer's own privacy policy and cookies apply from that point.

Advertising

This site does not currently show ads. If we introduce advertising (such as Google AdSense) in the future, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent before any advertising cookies are set.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under GDPR and CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you — including information described above where it can be associated with you. Write to [email protected] and we'll handle it within 30 days.

Children

We write about gear for babies, but this site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version appears here with an updated effective date.
